Global Landscapes Forum 2017: 19-20 December in Bonn

The 2017 Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) takes place on 19-20 December in Bonn, Germany, to discuss the essential role of sustainable landscapes in the future of our planet. The city that serves as the international sustainability hub and the driving force behind such global efforts as the Bonn Challenge and the Climate Change Conference is the new home of the GLF Headquarters.

This year's forum considers the key part that sustainable landscapes play in providing food security and resilient livelihoods, ensuring access to renewable materials, water and energy, protecting biodiversity and human well-being, supporting trade and business development, and addressing the global challenges including climate change.

The new phase of the GLF sets the goal to reach a broader audience, placing local communities and realities at the center of conversation. The forum presents landscape pavilions and booths, round tables, laboratories and networking opportunities. Visitors will have a chance to attend presentations and discussions hosted by the World Bank, FAO, WWF, the German government, the African Union Commission, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and others.
